Book-lending software such as Koha is a different category and is left out. Every price and limit below was read on the vendor's own pricing page on 27 October 2026, and each entry links to that page.
We judged each app on five things owners ask about most: the free plan limit, the paid price at 50 to 100 seats, WhatsApp messaging, attendance method, and how many branches and staff logins you get. Suits: small libraries that want a free start and a very low yearly price. Price: free forever for 1 branch, 1 admin and up to 50 students; Premium at ₹749 a year, shown as a limited-time price against a list price of ₹2,399, with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Standout: QR gate check-in and check-out. Limitation: the ₹749 rate is labelled limited-time, so confirm the renewal price, and the free plan stops at 50 students.
3. Libly
Suits: single owners who rent lockers or AC seats and want polished WhatsApp messages. Price: free up to 20 students with manual reminders only; ₹199 a month, ₹1,999 a year or ₹3,999 for three years, plus 18% GST. Standout: automated reminders sent from your library's own number on the WhatsApp Business API, and locker and AC-seat add-ons billed with the seat. Limitation: 20 students is a small free limit, and students get no app of their own.
4. SeatWise
Suits: owners with two or more branches who want one flat price. Price: ₹199 a month, ₹999 for six months or ₹1,499 a year, every feature on every plan, unlimited members and branches, 14-day free trial, no auto-renewal. Standout: 7-3-1 day WhatsApp renewal reminders and staff logins on all plans. Limitation: there is no free plan, and the account turns read-only when the plan expires.
5. My Abhyasika
Suits: abhyasikas in Maharashtra that want a public website and online payments. Price: by seat capacity, from ₹249 a month (₹2,000 a year) for 1-50 seats to ₹649 a month (₹6,000 a year) for 251-500; a 14-day free start with a ₹499 onboarding fee in the current launch offer. Standout: a library website with custom domain and a Razorpay gateway on every plan. Limitation: WhatsApp messages cost ₹0.1725 each on top of the plan.
6. Manage Desk
Suits: libraries that want fingerprint attendance. Price: one plan at ₹299 a month or ₹2,999 a year with a free trial. Standout: biometric integration with ESSL and ZKTeco devices included, plus a student directory listing, free mock tests for students and book issue tracking. Limitation: no free plan, and the fingerprint machine is a separate purchase.

Suits: owners who want students to pay online and use study tools. Limitation: the free plan caps active members and messages, and Pro allows 300 active members.

Suits: larger libraries with several halls and receptionists. Price: a 30-day Pro trial, but plan prices are hidden on the public pricing page as of October 2026; Pro covers up to 500 seats, 10 halls, 2 branches and 3 receptionists. Mistake we see often
Picking the app with the longest feature list. A 60-seat library with two shifts mostly needs seats, renewals and reminders to work every day. Fingerprint integration, mock tests and AI reports matter only if you will actually use them, and some of them raise the price or need hardware.
Which alternative fits which library?
- Under 50 students, one shift, tight budget: Librify free or 24Library free. Librify has no student cap; 24Library adds QR gate check-in.

Switching from GoLibrary without losing members
Switch in a quiet week, away from the days when most of your students renew. Then follow the same order whichever app you pick:
- Download your member report from GoLibrary while your plan is still active.
- Clean it into one row per student: name, 10-digit phone, seat, shift, plan end date, amount due.
- Set up seats, shifts and fees in the new app before importing anyone.
- Import the list, or ask the new vendor's support to do it. Librify's support imports Excel or CSV lists.
- Run both apps for one full billing cycle and compare the totals before you stop paying for GoLibrary.
